We utilize a holistic approach to Health and Wellness. We believe that individual well-being involves all aspects of an individual’s life, including physical, mental, emotional, nutritional, spiritual, and environmental health. We will use therapeutic community integration to optimize personal, social, and educational goals by organizing activities in various community-based settings. We pride ourselves in offering our clients an experience with us that best suits their needs.
We believe that family is a pillar in the foundation of a thriving life. We are committed to improving family connections and unification by increasing psychosocial skills and developing excellent coping mechanisms. When we strengthen the foundation, we increase the family’s ability to effectively interact, care for, and understand one another on a deeper level and their role in the home and community. We recognize that families come in all shapes and sizes. We support these aspects in every family model that is presented to us.
Our team provides therapeutic relationship building in families by using a variety of avenues including family support, peer interaction, communication building, emotion management, mentoring and much more.
Our team identifies and provides the services each of our families needs:
● Skills Training
● Life Skills Courses
● Family Activities
● Improving Self-Care
● Physical Fitness & Nutrition
● Education on Accessing Community Resources
● Assistance and Training on Utilizing Public Transportation
Our team always puts our youth first, looking to lift them up and strengthen the integrity and core structure of the child's character. Our teams will present information to assist our clients better, design and implement measurable and reviewable treatment plans, and provide support and treatment. A Safe Haven recognizes that critical things must be learned, such as reading, writing, basic math, and social norms. To achieve developmental goals, one must consider an individual's strengths, weaknesses, interests, and abilities as they significantly impact learning. In our society, intelligence and athletic ability tend to be highly celebrated. Human beings are far more complex than those two categories.
Our youth services include but are not limited to the following:
● Mentoring – Youth are paired with a mentor to fit their personality.
● Life Skills - Youth learn life skills needed for present situations and post-high school.
● Relationship Building – We encourage and teach the importance of healthy relationships at all ages.
● Leadership Skills Building – Skills necessary to explore job options post-high school & skills on how to lead their generation.
● Goal Setting – Youth learn how to set achievable goals for success.
● Socialization – We support youth while exposing them to positive socialization activities.
Our community-based services are provided to elderly adults who desire to reintegrate and/or stay in the community. All ages have experienced additional grief through the Covid-19 pandemic, but this has impacted the elderly greater than any other age group due to higher death rates. We have observed higher rates of anxiety re-entering society after the quarantine mandates had been lifted or when additional mandates occurred within facilities. To alleviate this, we provide services agreed upon by the client and care team and can include a wide range of events and outings. We are proud to be able to tailor our services to members of the Arizona Long-Term Care Program (ALTCs).
Our services for adults include the following:
● Counseling
● Therapeutic Education
● Nutrition & Physical Health Education
● Chronic Disease Education & Management
● Outings
● Life Coaching
● Relationship/Community Building
● Spiritual Outings
